Mari grew up in Carrboro, North Carolina and went to Chapel Hill High School. She currently studies Philosophy and Spanish at Haverford College in Haverford, PA, and will be graduating in 2008. In the Fall of 2007 she studied drawing under Per Anderson at the University of Veracruz in Mexico. Mari has been responsible for the art on the covers of both Christmas albums released by Trekky Records.
